Coloradoan snapshot of founder Bob Flynn as he speaks at a recent job fair
Business is booming for Greenride, and we’re doing our best to make sure that people from Colorado and Wyoming share in our success. The Fort Collins Coloradoan recently published an article about our growth, and how it’s effecting the economy.
The company, which aims to get drivers going to the airport off the road and into its vans, has already seen a dramatic increase in business and is hoping to add Loveland, Longmont and Windsor routes this fall.
With the increased demand for service, Green Ride has hired an additional five employees, and Flynn said he plans to hire more in order to expand to other towns.
In May, Green Ride launched with 14 people; five months later, it already has more than doubled to 30 employees. Flynn said the majority of those are full time.
Later, the article discusses how we’re doing our best to buy products and services locally. The Our Values page of our website briefly touches on this philosophy. Look for us to expand on this soon.

Erin McGuinn and the Greenride Prius
Kris Hite, a doctoral student at Colorado State University, posted some pictures of his participation in Fort Collins’ Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Fair, last month. Our favorite, naturally, is this one of CSU graduate Erin McGuinn standing with 001, Greenride’s rockin’ hybrid.

Beth Buczynski is a Fort Collins environmental guru. We met her at the Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Fair, and she was nice enough to share some kind words.
Beth recently wrote about Greenride’s efforts to provide sustainable airport transportation:
For those that live in Fort Collins, Denver International Airport is just far enough away to make the commute tedious, if not downright difficult. Traveling out of DIA means that you either have to pay to park your car for the duration of the trip (or subject it to the uncovered wilds of the Pike’s Peak Lot!), arrange for friends to drop you off and pick you up, or you have to bite the bullet and pay for the Super Shuttle service, which makes stops at several pickup locations along 1-25.
Well now those who hate the idea of the cost and carbon emissions associated with the trip have another, greener option: Green Ride Colorado.
Read the rest of Beth’s article to find out how we’re working to deliver a great service and minimize our impact on the environment.
